A private memorial service will be given Sunday for Ivanetta Swartfager, a former Santa Rosa resident.
She died Aug. 12 in an Illinois nursing home following an illness. She was 94.
The Massachusetts native moved to Santa Rosa in the mid-1920s with her husband, Bryce, a Santa Rosa attorney for almost 50 years.
She was well known in the musical circles of Santa Rosa. She played violin in the Santa Rosa Symphony for many years. She also played in a trio at the Santa Rosa Rotary Club luncheons, said family members. She was a member of the Etude Club of Santa Rosa.
Five years ago she moved to Illinois to live with a niece.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Steve Osborn, Santa Rosa.
