Mrs. Isabelle C. Hunt, 62, taught school for 29 years
MESA – Mrs. Isabelle Cardon Hunt, 62, who had taught school in Pine and Mesa for 29 years, died yesterday in Southside Hospital.
Mrs. Hunt was born in Colonia Dublan, Mexico, and came to Arizona in 1912. She graduated from Tucson High School and Arizona State University, was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, International Honor Society for outstanding women teachers, Mesa Writers Club and was past secretary of the Mesa Teachers Association.
She also was a former member of the Mesa and Maricopa Stake Young Women’s Mutual Improvement Associations in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had resided in Mesa for many years before moving to Pine six years ago.
Survivors include her husband, Alma M.; a son L. Kent Hilton of Las Vegas; a daughter, Mrs. Vincent Wood of Walnut Creek Calif.; two brothers, Stanley Cardon of Phoenix and Barthy Cardon of Tucson; six sisters, Mrs. Marion Thatcher, Mrs. Charles Clouse, Mrs. Harry Jones and Mrs. Roscoe Hamblin, all of Mesa, Mrs. Arnold Heldt of Peoria and Mrs. Ralph Trejo of Casa Grande; three brothers and six sisters out of state, and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Pine Ward LDS Chapel. Burial will be in the Pine Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow in M. L. Gibbons Mortuary, 33 N. Sirrine.

Isabelle Cardon was born July 7, 1908 in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a daughter of Louis Paul Cardon and Ellen Clymena Saunders.
She married Lyle Hilton July 1929 in Florence, Pinal County, Arizona. They had two children: Kent Lyle and Gail. They later divorced. A few years after the divorce, she married Alma Moroni Hunt.
She died June 1, 1971 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona.
