Heber Allen, 76
RIVER HEIGHTS – Henry Heber Allen Jr., 76, died of a heart attack Feb. 10 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Eunice Lindblom in San Francisco.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 1 p.m. in the River Heights Ward chapel, under direction of Bishop Ernest Siler.
Mr. Allen was born April 11, 1886, in Cove, Cache County, the sone of Henry Heber Allen Sr. and Elgena Poulsen. He married Reda Ricks in Logan Temple Sept. 29, 1909.
Mr. Allen received his early schooling in the Cove school and at Brigham Young College in Logan. H had been engaged in farming in the Cove, Banida and Swan Lake areas, and also was in ranching and farming in the Soda Spring area with is sons.
He moved to Logan in 1943, where he had been in the dairy business.
Surviving are his widow; the following children, Mrs. Cecil (Dorthy) Miles, Banida, Ida., Roland R. Allen, Honeyville; Mrs. Wilbur (Opal) Georgeson, Pocatello; Mrs. Arthur (Carma) Mineer, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Howard (Irene) Young, Thatcher, Ida.; Mrs. Elwood (Barbara) Chambers, Sunset; Mrs. Arlow (Eunice) Lindblom, San Francisco; Mrs. Robert (Louise) Witmer, Hanover, Pa.; Paul Allen, Ogden; Dean Allen, Lovelock Nev., and Preston Allen, Soda Springs.
Also surviving are 38 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Aram P. Allen, Swan Lake; Lillie Johnson, San Diego; Leda Adams, Bakersfield, Calif., and Erma Rice, Denver.
