KANESVILLE – Harriet Rebecca Wadman Cardon, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 1998, of causes incident to age. As she passed from this life to her eternal existence, she was lovingly greeted by her sweetheart, Rulon, and her dear on, Louie.

She was born November 18, 1913, in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of James Edward and Vida Treazer Shupe Wadman. She was married to Louis Rulon Cardon on September 30, 1931, in Brigham City, Utah with their marriage being solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 24, 1957. Rulon preceded her in death on May 14, 1996.

Harriet spent her early life in Hansel Valley and Ogden. Her early married life was also spent in Hansel Valley, Ogden and Lewiston, Utah, and for the past 51 years in Kanesville, Utah.

She worked for a number of years at Hill AFB as a driver and at her sweetheart’s side on their small farm – she could do it all!

Harriet was a member of the Kanesville 2nd LDS Ward where her love was felt for over 30 years as a Sunday School instructor to young people.

She is survived by her children, Reatha Anderson, Sunset; LaRae (William) Parker and Paul (Darlene) Cardon, both of West Warren; Steven (Tammy) Cardon, Cucamonga, Calif.; and Janis (Max) Butler, West Haven. She has 22 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers and one sister, Vyeron Wadman, Roy; Jim Wadman, Perry; Val Wadman, North Ogden; Milton Wadman, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Vida (Frank) Poppleton, Welsville.

Harriet was preceded in death by her son Louie, and two sisters, Olga and Alma.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop LaVier Daley of the Kanesville 2nd Ward, officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
