Harold "Bub" Pratt

Harold Anderson Pratt “Bub,” 83, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at his home in Syracuse, Utah.

He was born January 19, 1926 to Harold Sheets and Lela Ann Anderson Pratt.

Harold married his eternal companion, Monette Roe, on September 12, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was a farmer in Stone, Idaho for many years, a meter reader for Mountain Fuel, and worked as a welder in the metals shop at Davis School District.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission in the Northwestern States from 1947- 1949. He served as ward and stake youth leader, High Priest group leader, served with his wife in the Kentucky Louisville Mission, the last five months as Branch President, and as ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple for eight years.

Harold was a volunteer in the Syracuse Museum for several years, an avid reader, liked woodworking and gardening.

He leaves his wife of fifty-eight years, Monette Roe Pratt, eight children, Jeanette (Ned) Sharp, Renton, WA; Debra (Mark) Danner, Clearfield; Rodney (Ann) Pratt, Roy; Luana (Donald) Slater, Slaterville; Lowell (Lesley) Pratt, Merlin, OR; Dewey (Donna) Pratt, Syracuse; Lesle (Karl) Anderson, Clearfield; Allyson Pratt, Layton; twenty-four grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sisters Eva West and Rose Harrison.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Legacy Park Stake Center, 2024 South 1475 West, Syracuse. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center.
Interment: Syracuse City Cemetery.
