Gwen Stout Chubbs, 82, of Boulder City, died Oct. 15. She was born Feb. 18, 1926, in Hinckley, Utah. Stout was a retired medical records technician and a member of the Oasis Park Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a gifted singer, singing solos and in choirs throughout her life. She had perfect pitch even though she never acquired the skill of reading the music note. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing on softball teams and won titles in competitive bowling.
Chubbs is survived by her daughters Gayle Murry of Logandale and Wendy Perkins of Boulder City; sons Allen Chubbs of North Las Vegas and Bob Chubbs of Valencia, Calif.; sisters Rosie White of Sacramento and Belva Mauchley of West Point, Utah; brothers Cardon Stout of Beaumont, Texas, Nathan Stout of Henderson and Philip Stout of Sacramento; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 20 with interment at Boulder City Cemetery.
