CEDAR CITY – Gerold Lynn Walker, 76, passed away July 12, 2004, in Cedar City, UT. He was born July 16, 1927, in Payson, UT to Rollin Walker & Mildred Cardon. He married Dorla Jean Edna Hoover on July 28, 1956, in Modesto, CA. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Temple.
Gerold was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a High Priest. He enjoyed rock hunting and camping.
Gerold is survived by his wife Dorla of Cedar City; children Linda (Jim) Freng and Tammie Lucinda (Stephen) Tidwell both of Las Vegas, NV and Danny Lynn Walker, Brian Lee Walker, and Debra Ann Walker all of Cedar City; thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild; brothers Wesley (Nella) Klienworth of Arizona and Frank (Fay) Klienworth of Las Vegas; and sister Eileen (J>B>) Asher of Ogden, UT. He was preceded in death by his brother Harold Walker.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar 11th Ward Chapel (370 N 4050 W, Cedar). Friends and family may visit Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary or Friday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Enoch Cemetery.
