Geraldine Lambert Gaisford, 81, Gilbert Arizona, died Dec. 18, 2001. She moved to Phoenix in 1958 from Dallas but grew up in Utah and San Francisco. Born Feb. 3, 1920, Jerry had a close life-long relationship with her seven brothers and sisters.

She married Harold Gaisford on April 25, 1942, in Oakland, CA. As the family moved to Utah, Texas, and Arizona, Jerry made each home warm and beautiful and quickly made friends in new locations. A skilled decorator, seamstress and cook, she loved to entertain friends, hosting her final party less than a week before her death.

She gave countless hours of service to her church and community. She was a ward Relief Society president, a worker in the Mesa Mormon Temple, and a president of the Kiwanis Club auxiliary. A devoted wife and mother, she encouraged and set high standards for her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her sweetheart of 60 years, she is survived by her four children: Hal (Kay), Steven, Gordon (Leslie), and Elizabeth (Chris Cardon), and leaves 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Sat., Dec. 22, 10 AM, Lakeside Ward LDS Chapel, 1005 N. Voyager Dr., Gilbert. Visitation one hour before. Also 6-8 PM Friday at Bunker Mortuary, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, c/o Kim Gaisford Schulz, 4140 N. Central #2068, Phoenix 85012.
