Georgie Noble of Safford, formerly of Calexico, Calif., passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at her home in Safford.
She was born July 26, 1930, in Safford to Jess and Eva Taylor. Georgie grew up in Safford and graduated from Eastern Arizona College and the Arizona State University.
Georgie married Robert L. Noble on July 6, 1952. They moved to Calexico, Calif., where they raised six children. Georgie was a schoolteacher for 35 years and loved working with young children. She loved being known as Mrs. Noble and was greatly admired by all her fellow teachers. She held many positions in the LDS Church.
Georgie’s greatest joy was her family. She especially loved spending time with her extended family. She especially loved visiting with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Georgie is survived by her husband, Robert L. Noble; children, Denise Bluth of St. David, Mark Noble of Taylorsville, Utah, Mary Jane Duplane of Prescott, Nancy Ricks of Rigby, Id., and Matthew Noble of Safford; brothers, Irvin Taylor of Safford, LaVar (Bud) Taylor of Tempe; sisters, LaRue Noble of Springville, Utah, Helen Clifford of Safford, Charlene Good of Safford, Eva Gene Shiflet of Gilbert; numerous nieces and nephews. Georgie was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Eva Taylor and sisters, Margie Burk and Patsy Beavers.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec. 13, at 9 a.m. at the 20th St. LDS Chapel in Safford. Interment followed in Alpine Cemetery.
Friends called from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Monday morning at the church.
Arrangements were entrusted to Bunker’s Caldwell Chapel of Safford.
