Age 21, of Laie, died June 17, 2007, in Hanna, Utah, while doing an internship at Aspiro, Inc. a wilderness leadership camp. He was born on January 27, 1986, in San Diego, California.
Survived by parents Greg and Ann “Annie”; sisters, Natalie Norton, Jennifer Fougler, and Stephanie Lavin; brothers, Richie Norton and Kevin Lavin; grandfather, Joseph Ling; nephews, Raleigh, Cardon, and Lincoln Norton.
Visitation 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints BYU Hawaii Stake Center; Service 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Burial 1:45 p.m. in Laie Cemetery. Casual Attire.

Gavin David Link passed away in his sleep, peacefully and unexpectedly, in the early hours of June 17th, 2007. He was preparing to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was as physically and spiritually healthy as at any time in his young life.
Gavin was born January 27th, 1986, in San Diego, California. He grew up in Alpine, Utah, where he attended Alpine Elementary, Mountain Ridge and Lone Peak High. Most recently, he lived in Laie, Hawaii, where he attended BYU Hawaii and worked as an aide for North Shore Mental Health, and as a golf caddy for Turtle Bay Resort. Most important to him was his service as Ward Mission Leader and as a devoted home teacher in the BYU-Hawaii 8th Ward.
Gavin is survived by his parents Greg and Annie (Carlos) Link, sister and bro-in-law Natalie and Richie Norton, beloved nephews Raleigh, Cardon and Lincoln Norton, Jennifer Foulger, sister; Stephanie and Kevin Lavin, sister and brother-in-law; and his grandfather, Joseph F. Link.
Funeral services were held in La’ie, Hawaii, on June 22, where he was laid to rest in the Old La’ie Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in the Alpine North Stake 1125 North Alpine Blvd. Alpine, Utah, on Friday June 29th. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., services at 11:00 a.m.
