Frederick William Kendell

UINTAH, Weber County – Frederick William Kendell, 74, died Monday evening at his home in Uintah after a six-week illness of thrombosis.

Mr. Kendell was born August 17, 1866, in South Weber, Davis county, a son of William and Joanna Peek Kendell. He had resided in South Weber and Uintah his entire life and had been engaged in farming. Active in L. D. S. church affairs, he was a counselor in Uintah L. D. S. ward bishopric for 33 years.

He was an active member of the ward high priest quorum and was chairman of the church service committee in Uintah. He also served as a Sunday school teacher for several years.

At the time of his death, he was president of the Pioneer Irrigation Canal company.

Frederick W. Kendell

UINTAH, Weber County – Funeral services for Frederick William Kendell, 74, prominent Weber county farmer, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Ogden Seventeenth L. D. S. ward chapel, with Bishop Aldo R. Stephens of Uintah ward officiating. Burial will be in Uintah cemetery, under direction of Aultorest mortuary of Ogden.

Friends may call at the family residence in Uintah Thursday evening and Friday until time for the services.

Mr. Kendell died at his home Monday following a six weeks’ illness of thrombosis.

F. W. Kendell

Services for Frederick William Kendell of Uintah were conducted Friday in the L. D. S. Seventeenth ward chapel, with Bishop A. R. Stephens of the Uintah ward presideing.

Speakers were Mayor Fred M. Abbot of Ogden, E. G. Jenkinson, A. G. Fernelius, Bishop Stephens. Music was furnished by Leah Kendell, Madeline Pringle and Willilam S. Wright. Prayers were offered by C. M. Funk and W. E. Cornia. Burial was made in Uintah cemetery under direction of the Aultorest mortuary of Ogden. The grave was dedicated by C. A. Fernelius. Grandsons served as pallbearers, and the flowers were in charge of granddaughters.
