OGDEN – Ezra B. (Mickie) Cardon, 63, Ogden died of cancer April 22 at home. Born March 19, 1904, Logan, to John P. and Mary Sorenson Cardon. Married Mildred Turner Sept. 4, 1951, Lehi, Maintenance man, U.S. Post Office, Ogden. Member LDS Church, Boy Scout leader; WW II veteran. Survivors: widow; sons, John, Ogden; Donald, Salt Lake City; stepsons, Wayne C. Nelson, Portland, Ore.; Marris J. Nelson, Ogden; 4 grandchildren; brother, sister, Rulon, Kanesville, Weber County; Mrs. Baryl C. Ruchti, Whittier, Calif. Funeral Wednesday 1 p.m., Larkin Chapel of the Dawn, Ogden, where friends call Tuesday 7-9 p.m., Wednesday prior to services. Burial Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.

Ezra B. Cardon

Ezra B. (Mickie) Cardon, 63, of 1908 Childs, died Saturday evening at his home of cancer.

Mr. Cardon was born March 19, 1904, in Logan, a son of John P. and Mary Sorenson Cardon.

He was married to Mildred Turner on Sept. 4, 1951, in Lehi, Utah.

He had resided in Ogden the past 25 years and had been a maintenance engineer for the Post Office.

He was a member of the Third LDS Ward. He had been a member of the Elders Presidency, Aaronic priesthood secretary, guide patrol instructor and home teacher. He had received a 50-year Scot Award and was assistant scoutmaster and committeeman in the ward. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors are his widow, two sons, John Cardon, Ogden; Donald Cardon, Salt Lake City; two stepsons, Wayne C Nelson, Portland, Ore.; Morris J. Nelson, Ogden; four grandchildren, one brother, Rulon Cardon, Kanesville; one sister, Mrs. Beryl C. Ruchiti, Whittier, Calif.

Funeral services will b held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Larkin Chapel of the Dawn with Bishop Thomas L. Checketts of the Third Ward conducting.

Friends may call at the chapel Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until services. Burial in Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
