BENSON, Cache County — Isabelle Roundy Cardon, 94, died May 30, 1977, at a daughter’s home in Orem, Utah.
Born Oct. 25, 1882, Kanarraville, Utah, to W.W. and Margaret Ann Young Roundy. She married Hyrum Michael Cardon April 8, 1909 in the Logan Temple. He died May 27, 1963.
Survivors: 3 sons and 3 daughters. Mrs. Russel R. (Margaret) Rich, Orem; Doyle R. serving mission in Samoa; Mrs. Lorin (Neva) Hawkes, Bountiful; Mrs. Grand (Nada) Stevenson, Orem; Kenneth R., Wayne R., both Benson; 36 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Joseph M. Roudy, Ogden; John W. Roundy. E.S. Roundy. Mrs. A.J. (Leone) Munk, all Logan; Mrs. William (Rebecca) Allen, Salt Lake City.
Funeral Thursday 1 p.m. in the Benson Ward Chapel. Friends may call a the Hall Mortuary Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday at the ward from 11:30 to time of services. Burial in the Logan City Cemetery.

BENSON, Cache County – Funeral services for Isabelle Roundy Cardon, 94, who died Monday, May 30, 1977 at a daughter’s home in Orem, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Benson Ward Chapel.
Two daughters live in Orem.
Born Oct. 25, 1882 in Kanarraville, Iron County, to W.W. and Margaret Ann Young Roundy, she married Hrum Michael Cardon on April 8, 1909 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died on May 27,1963.
Survivors include three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Russel R. (Margaret) Rich, Orem; Doyle R. Cardon, serving an LDS mission in Samoa; Mrs. Lorin (Neva) Hawkes, Bountiful; Mrs Grant (Nada) Stevenson, Orem; Kenneth R. Cardon and Wayne R. Cardon both of Benson; 36 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Joseph M. Roundy, Ogden; John W. Roundy, E.S. Roundy and Mrs. A.J. (Leone) Munk, all of Logan; Mrs. William (Rebecca) Allen, Salt Lake City.
Friends may call at Hall Mortuary tonight from 7 to 9 o’clock and Thursday at the chapel from 11:30 till time of services. Burial will be in Logan City Cemetery.

Isabelle Cardon
Isabelle Roundy Cardon, 94, pioneer of the Benson area died Monday at the home of a daughter in Orem.
Services were conducted Thursday at the Benson Ward Chapel with Bishop John E. Allen officiating.
She was born Oct 25, 1882, in Kannaraville, a daughter of W. W. and Margaret Ann Young Roundy. She married Hyrum Michael Cardon April 8, 1909, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died May 27, 1963.
At the age of 10, Mrs. Cardon moved from southern Utah to Benson with her family. She had spent her lifetime in service to church and cummunity.
Active in the LDS auxiliaries, she was a member of the Relief Society, MIA presidency, a Sunday School secretary and teacher. In 1965, she was selected Mother of the Year for northern Utah.
Mrs. Cardon filled an LDS mission to the western states in 1910, and taught school in Cache, Franklin and Rich Counties.

(Margaret) Rich and Mrs. Grant (Nada) Stevenson, both of Orem; Doyle R., serving a church mission in Samoa; Mrs. Lorin (Neva) Hawkes, Bountiful; Kenneth R. and Wayne R., both of Benson; 36 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Joseph M.
