Wife of Joseph Clyde Goodman
Elna Goodman, 72, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday Feb. 17, 2002 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 16, 1929 in Bisbee, Ariz., to Leo Alma and Teleta Hilda Cluff Farnsworth.
Elna and her family moved to Farmington in the ’40s and graduated from Farmington High School in 1948. She also married her sweetheart Clyde Goodman in the LDS Mesa Arizona Temple in 1948. After Clyde served a mission for the LDS church in Africa they settled down in Farmington where their five children were born. Elna was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her children, sister Mona Ivy and some of her grandchildren were with her when she passed.
She is preceded in death by her sweetheart Clyde, her daughter Patricia Irene and her parents, brothers, sister and two grandchildren.
Survivors include son Joseph Howard Goodman of Bloomfield; former daughter-in-law Vicki Metheny of Farmington; daughters, Marsh Add and husband, Danny Sudduth of Bloomfield, Vonda Lynn and husband, Dean Stowell, of White Salmon, Wash.; son Ronald Alan Goodman and wife, Beverly, of Bloomfield; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sisters Mona Ivy and Betty Jean Carpenter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.
Visitation took place at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. February 18, 2002.
Funeral service were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday 19 February, 2002 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 804 W. Blanco Blvd., in Bloomfield with Bishop Sheldon Slade officiating. Interment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ron Goodman, Bevin Judd, Brad Judd, Eric Carlton, Patrick Goodman and Shaun Hayes.
Honorary pallbearers were all of Elna’s other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
