OGDEN – Mrs. Elizabeth Hulda Ballantyne Cardon, 72, 2547 Van Buren Ave., died Wednesday in a Cedar Falls, Ia., hospital of a heart ailment. She had been visiting with a son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. John J. Rowe, when she was stricken.

Mrs. Cardon was born Oct. 28, 1879, in Ogden, a daughter of Richard A. and Mary Ann Stewart Ballantyne.

On Sept. 10, 1902, she was married to George D. Cardon in the Logan Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Cardon was an active member of the Relief Society in the Ogden Twelfth Ward.

Surviving are her husband; a son and five daughters: Dean Cardon, Mrs. John J. (Ardell) Mauro, Mrs. Elizabeth (Beth) Barnson and Mrs. William D. (Dorothy) Carty, Ogden; Mrs. John J (Marie) Rowe, Cedar Falls, Ia., and Mrs. Russell (Winona) Swenson, Minneapolis, Minn., 12 grandchildren; six sisters: Mrs. Glenna Crockston, Mrs. Precinda B. Woolley and Mrs. Leona Sonne, Logan; Mrs. Mary Packard, Fillmore; Mrs. Delecta B. Burton, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Ruth B. Sanders, Long Beach, Cal.

Lindquist and Sons’ Mortuary will announce funeral arrangements.
