Dies at Her Home

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith Cardon Clayson, 69, will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Valley Mortuary Chapel by Kenneth Pace, bishop of Bonneville LDS Ward.

Mrs. Clayson, 265 E. 3rd S., widow of George E. Clayson, died Sunday at her home of a heart ailment.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Payson City Cemetery.

A dughter of Joseph and Selina Walker Cardon, she was born Feb. 13, 1884, in Taylor, Ariz., and was educated in old Mexico. She had lived in Provo since 1917.

She was married to George E. Clayson July 21, 1901, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, worked in the Relief Society and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Survivors include five sons and daughters, Mrs. C. V. (Edith) Robinson, Salt Lake City; Joseph Clayson, Provo; Mrs. Verrall (Anne) Brown, Trenton, Cache County; Mrs. Frank J. (Florence) Chapple, Provo; Mrs. Ray (Faye) Richins, Provo; the following brothers and sisters: Roy Cardon; Elmer Cardon, Mesa, Ariz.; Junius Cardon, Farmington, N.M.; ZMrs. Nelia Allred, Stanford, Ariz.; Mrs. Minnie Taylor, Mexico; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
