Our amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed from this life to our Saviors loving embrace while surrounded by his family.
Born in Ogden to Earl Edward and Bertha Mary Shaw Lee, he was the youngest of 3 children. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1951 and served in the Army until honorably discharged in 1953. He then attended Weber State College where he graduated with a Machinist Degree.
He retired after 28 years from Hill Air force Base as a toolmaker. He was also a shop instructor at Weber State College, a machinist at Land East and JD Machine.
In 1960 he married his sweetheart Carolyn McFarland and they settled in North Ogden, Utah where they raised 4 children. A humble man, Earl was devoted to his wife and serving others. His infectious smile and mischief making are among the wonderful memories that his family, neighbors, and friends will cherish.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn McFarland Lee; his children, Earl G. Lee (North Ogden), David and Lisa Lee (Syracuse), Thayne and Linda Shaffer (North Ogden), Kevin and Michelle Lee (North Ogden); 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Pleasant View LDS 2nd Ward, 250 W. Elberta Drive, Pleasant View, Utah. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 21st from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Wednesday at the church prior to services from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
