Douglas C. Merrill

Douglas Cardon Merrill, 57, our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, passed away July 25, 1988, after a long struggle with illness. His life touched many and he will be greatly missed.

He was born November 20, 1930, in Salt Lake City, the son of Clarence and May Cardon Merrill. He married Faye Owens and Colleen Bowden; they were later divorced. He married Mary Eakin on March 24, 1979, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the Korean War. He was a master carpenter and loved to build.

Survivors, wife, Mary, three sons, F. Scott, Arizona, Douglas C., Jr., Rodney B., both of Salt Lake City; three daughters, Cynthia Merrill Clubb, Susan D. Merrill Carhart, Jennifer Eakin Merrill, all Salt Lake City; thirteen grandchildren; one sister, Louise Mounet, Colorado.

Graveside services Friday, July 29, 1988, at 2:30 p.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive on Friday from 1:15-2:15 p.m.
