LYMAN – Funeral services for Dorotha Bracken Thomas, 87, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 18, in Urie Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Lyman.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service-time.

She died March 13, 2005, from complications of a stroke. At the time of her death, she was a resident of The Courtyard at Jamestown in Provo, Utah.

Born Feb. 9, 1918, in Salt Lake City, she was the eldest child of Garld W. and Medora (Curtis) Bracken; graduated from Mountain View High School; and attended the University of Wyoming.

On Dec. 22, 1941, she married Frank L. Thomas Sr. in Evanston.

She was a member of the LDS church and served in many capacities, including missions in England and Denver.

Survivors include four children, Susan Tippets and her husband of Lyman. Frank “Tom” and his wife of St. George, Utah, Mary Ann Peterson of Manti, Utah, and Sarah Hope and her husband of Jerome, Idaho; 26 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Jack and Glen Bracken; a sister, Maxine; a grandson; and a son-in-law.
