39 Join Faculty and Staff at ISC

President Carl W. McIntosh introduced 39 new faculty and staff members this week at Idaho State College’s first faculty meeting of the academic year.

Of the 39 appointments, 25 had been announced previously including several who assumed their new duties this summer.


Kay Don Worsencroft, June graduate of ISC from twin Falls, was appointed assistant instructor in physics. He was a student laboratory assistant last year.

DON K. WORSENCROFT, 61, of Honomu, Hawaii, died Dec. 13, 1993. He was born in Utah and was an assistant professor at Hawaii Community College. He also was a former commercial fisherman. Survived by wife, Edith S.; son, Samuel W. Corbally of Washington; daughters Ann of Wailea, Hakalau, Hawaii, Susan Hallman of Florida; stepsons, Kurt Eschbach of Maryland, Karl Eschbach of Wisconsin; Mother Rose Worsencroft of Idaho; brother, Dan of Idaho; sisters, Susan Ganske and Ruth Henderson, both of Idaho, and Joan Eskelsen of California; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Friends may call 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Hawaii Community College Cafeteria. Private scattering of ashes at a later date. No flowers. Casual attire. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary. Inc.

Don Worsencroft

Don Worsencroft, 61, of Honomu, Hawaii, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1993, in Hawaii.

He was born Dec 3, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Rose Elizabeth Wunderli and Daniel T. Worsencroft.

He attended Pocatello public schools and Pocatello High School. In 1952 he joined the Air Force. He received his Bachelor of Science in physics from Idah State College and his master’s of physics and math, also from Idaho State, and his Ph.D. in physics from Montana State University in Bozeman, Mont.

At the time of his death, he was a professor at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

He married Edith Staniland in 1978 in Agana, Guam.

Surviving him are his widow, in Hawaii; two daughters and one son, Ann Worsencroft of Hawaii, Susan Hallman of Florida, and Sam Worsencroft of Olympia, Wash.; his mother, Rose Worsencroft of Pocatello; one brother and three sisters, Dan Worsencroft of Twin Falls, Idaho, Ruth Henderson and Susan Ganske of Pocatello, and Joan Eskelsen of Fountain Valley; Calif.; two grandchildren, Eli Worsencroft and Katharine Hallman; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister and brother.

Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. In remembrance of Don, a special gathering and potluck will be held at a pavilion in the park by the river in Honomu, Hawaii the weekend of Dec. 19.
