DeMar Wettstein Merrill passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the Heritage Home Senior Center in Preston, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the Preston 9th Ward chapel located at 310 N. State Street in Preston. There will be a viewing at that building from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at the Preston Cemetery.
DeMar was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was active in many civic affairs and supported his family in all of their endeavors. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is loved and will be missed.
DeMar is survived by his wife and eternal companion LaRae; his six children: Michael (Sandy) Steven, Robert (Ann) Kent (Loralee) Kirk (Charleen) Karen (Kip Harris); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two brothers, Cleve and Wayne.
