CHRISTIAN DOLIN Christian Emile Dolin, 77, of Las Vegas passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009. He was born Nov. 3, 1931, in Paris, France.
A Las Vegas resident since 1963, Christian is survived by his sister, Arlette; three children and nine grandchildren, Patrice and husband, Steve (Laurie, Robert, Stacey, Braden), Paul, and Leslie (Jason, McKell, Alec, Tessa, Ryker); and a great-grandfather of many.
All who met him loved his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a professor of French at UNLV for 34 years. While there he was head of the Foreign Language Department and played an important role in building that department. Former students have described him as a “true” teacher and “generous” friend. He was definitely a man who understood “Joi de Vivre”.
Following cremation there will be a private family gathering to commemorate his life.
