Charles Lewis Byrne was born on the 6th of May 1864 in Uinta, Wyoming to Catherine Cardon who was 34 years old and Moses Byrne who was 44 years old.
He appears in the 1870 federal census in Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming, USA and his reported age is 6 years old. He is living with his parents and 9 siblings.

Besides Charlye who is listed as a brother, Alice also has a son, William E, born in May 1884 and a daughter Hellen C., born in October 1883 living together. Charlye is shown with a birth month of May and a birth year of 1863 which would make him 37 years old, however the census taker wrote down that his age was 67. His marital status shows an M overwritten with an S (or vice versus) and that he was born in Wyoming. His father was born in England and his mother was born in Italy. His occupation is “Farm Laborer”. He can read and write and speak English.
The Uinta County Marriage Records show that he married Sarah J. Easton on the 8th of December 1900. It is certificate 6523 found in Box Number “Vol 3”, Page 519, with Volume Number “C”. Sarah was also known as Sarah Jane “Sadie” Easton. Sadie was also the mother of Elsie Fern Easton who was born July 3, 1893, in Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming (father unknown).
In 1901, Sadie and Charly had a baby daughter. She also died in 1901. They named her Laura, and she is buried in the family graveyard in Piedmont, Wyoming. The grave marker reads
