In 1910 Cecil is living between Date and Dalia Roads in El Centro, Imperial, California. She had been married to William H. Byrne for 11 years and had 5 children all living: Truth (age 10), Thelma K (age 8), Minnie B. (age 6), Ron I. (age 4), and Wilma F. (age 1). Ron I. is misread in the extraction and is actually Rae Iris, spelled Ray I. in the census.
Her father, Frank N. Easton, passed away at age 62 on 3 March 1914 in Mountain View, Uinta County, Wyoming.
Truth Ellen married Wallace Andrew Lane 4 July 1919 in Bishop, Inyo, California. In November of that same year on the 2nd, Thelma Katherine married William Jennings Doyle in Los Angeles County, California.
Cecil lived in Judicial Township 1, Inyo, California, United States in 1920 with her husband W. H. Byrne (age 56); Truth E. (age 19), Minnie (age 15), Ray (listed incorrectly as a son, age 13), Wilma (age 11), James (age 8), Etta (age 4), and Charles (age 2). Her name was spelled Cecil.
The 1922 “Index to Great Register Inyo County, California” shows that for the Primary Election August 29, she is registered Republican, is a housewife and spells her name Byrne, Mrs. Cecile E. The entry above shows Byrne, William H. is a beekeeper and registered Democratic. Both are in the West Bishop Precinct.
Minnie Belle married Emerald Charles Hummel 12 August 1925 in Independance, Inyo County, California. Rae (Ray) Iris was married to Arthur Aaron DeChambeau 11 January 1926 in Reno, Washoe, Nevada. Wilma Francis married Iver Lund Hoerle 8 Aug 1929.
Cecil’s home in 1930 was Bishop, Inyo, California, United States as per the 1930 United States Federal Census. She is shown as the wife of W. H. Byrne (age 67) and that her children are James (age 17), Etta (age 14), Charles (age 12). Also living with her was her eldest daughter Truth Lane and her children Willie Lane (age 10), Wallie Lane (age 7), John Lane (age 6), and Juanita Lane (age 4).
In 1933 she appears in the Inglewood, California, USA directory as Cecil and as the spouse of William H Byrne, living at 816 Oxford Avenue.
She died on 6 February 1935, in Hawthorne, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 55. The California U.S. Death Index, 1905-1939 has two entries, Cecil and Cecile with identical entries except for name. Cecil is State File 9816 and Cecile is 9817. She was buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles, California, United States on the 9th of February 1935.
After her death, her son James Albert married Petronella “Nellie” Boode 29 June 1935. Charles Levitt married Anna Louise Rickerson 26 Feb 1942. Etta Vinnie married Charles Eugene Hertter 2 May 1943 in Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona.
The U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 lists Cecile E Easten as the mother of Charles Leavitt Byrne born 13 Feb 1918 and died 6 May 1992. Charles’s father is William H Byrne. Charles’s SSN is 548-09-5308. In 1936 his name was listed as CHARLES LEAVITT BYRNE; 13 MAY 1992 his name is listed as CHARLES L BYRNE.
