Born August 9, 1935 to Walter & Wilma Brink in Shenandoah, Iowa. She met and married her eternal companion Bartley McDonald who was in the Air Force serving in the Denver area. They were married on December 30, 1954 in Englewood, Colorado they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 14, 1955. They had 2 children, Chandra Jean McDonald Salisbury and Curtis Lynn McDonald.

Caree was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Wilma, her brother Glen and her loving daughter Chandra.

Caree’s life was one of love and service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted daughter and granddaughter spending many years caring for her grandparents and parents in their final years. She and Bartley also served as foster parents to at risk children, giving them love and care to help recover from both physical and emotional abuse. She worked many hours in volunteer positions in the Republican Party in both Denver and Salt Lake County. Even in her later years when she could not physically serve, she would strive to find ways to give emotional support and service to those that were her caregivers, making friendships with the nurses and aides that cared for her.

Whenever she met someone for the first time, the first question she asked was if they were registered to vote. She told them it did not matter what party they joined, but emphasized how important it was to vote and be involved in the election process.

She has 8 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
