Cardon Merrill Death
Reported At Preston
PRESTON, Idaho, May 15 – Friends and relatives were notified here today of the death of Cardon W. Merrill, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Merrill, who died in a Los Angeles hospital.
Born and educated in Preston, he left here in 1939 and at the time of his death was attending a Diesel engineer-mechanics’ school in Los Angeles.
The body will be brought to Preston for funeral services.
Besides his parents, Cardon is survived by four brothers, Dean, Cleve, Wayne and DeMar Merrill.

Cardon W. Merrill
PRESTON, Idaho – Funeral services for Cardon W. Merrill, who died Tuesday in Los Angeles, Cal., following an appendectomy, will be conducted in Preston Fourth LDS ward chapel Sunday at 11:30 a.m. by Bishop Horace Baugh.
He was born May 16, 1921, at Preston, a son of Theo C. and Anna Wettstein Merrill.
He attended Preston city schools and was graduated from Preston high school in 1939. He was prominent in high school athletics and at the time he was stricken he was enrolled in a Los Angeles Diesel engineering mechanics school.
Surviving are his parents and four brothers: Dean, Cleve, Wayne and De Mar Merrill, all of ZPreston.
Burial in Richmond, Utah, cemetery will be directed by Hendricks mortuary of Preston.

Appendicitis
PRESTON, Idaho – Cardon W. Merrill, 19-year old son of T. C. and Anna Wettstein Merrill of Preston, died Tuesday morning in a Los Angeles, Cal., hospital of appendicitis, it was learned by his parents.
Mr. Merrill was born May 16, 1921, in Preston. He obtained his education in Preston City schools graduating in 1939, prior to his death he had studied diesel engine mechanics in Los Angeles.
Surviving are his parents, four brothers, Dean, Cleve, Wayne and De Mar Merrill of Preston, and a grandfather, Daiel Wettstein of Bountiful, Utah.
The body will be returned to Preston where funeral services will be announced.
