Cosmetologist Betty J. Witt-Bridger, 62, died of cancer Friday, May 12, 1995, in Vancouver. Born Aug. 30, 1932, in Camas, she was a lifelong Clark County resident.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Vancouver, the Eagles Post 2158, the Elks Club in Battle Ground and was affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking.

Mrs. Witt-Bridger is survived by four daughters, Cindy L. Hague and Dianna M. Bronkhorst, both of Vancouver, Debra L. Saniti of Boring, Ore., and Peggy L. Wells of Auburn, Wash.; a son, Randy L. Wells of Richfield, Wash.; a stepson, John W. Thrall of Bellevue, Wash.; her mother, Thelma Cardon of Vancouver; three brothers, Lon D. Cardon of Vancouver, Kenneth R. Cardon of Portland, Donald D. Cardon of Allyn, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her special companion, John “Sam” Bridger of Washougal.

A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel followed by burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
