Betty Jean Burningham Oscarson 1926 ~ 2011 Born June 1, 1926, to Clifford and Sarah Burningham, she grew up in Orem Utah, with brothers Clifford, LaMar, Leland, and sister Barbara.

She met Robert A. Oscarson after being introduced by friends. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on February 23, 1945. They had nine children, Linda (Lloyd) Laycock, Robert Oscarson, David (Ginny) Oscarson, Anna Beth (LaMar) Mecham, Shirlee (Thomas) Webb, Betty (Edward) Adams, Kathy (Bruce) King, Diane (Les) Moss, and Allen (Karyn) Oscarson. She currently has too many grandchildren to count, but they number over 100.

Betty was first and foremost a mother. She had many hobbies but most of all, she loved visiting with her family. She served in many different callings in the L.D.S. church during her lifetime. Even in her late years she served in the Primary and Nursery. She will be remembered as a “fun” camp director for many, many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sister, and many brothers and sisters-in- law.

Funeral services for Betty will be held on her 85th birthday, Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the 9th Ward LDS Chapel, located at 400 E. 200 S., Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Olpin Mortuary, 400 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah and at an additional viewing at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
