Beloved companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Betty Jo Christensen Gutierrez, age 62, passed away at her home in City of Commerce, Calif. May 17, 1989, after a long bout with cancer.
Preceding her in death were her mother and father Irene and Lloyd Christensen, both of Tooele.
Betty Jo was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Hinckley, Utah. She later moved to Tooele where she worked at Tooele Army Depot during World War II.
She leaves behind many loving memories with family and friends, including her loving companion, Frank Martenez, of City of Commerce; children: Susan Gutierrez, Albuquerque, NM; Patty Buckley, Chino Hills, CA.; Marie Jo Norton, Las Vegas, Nevada; Liz Gutierrez, Windson, CA; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild.
Funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Tate Mortuary Chapel.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mortuary and one hour prior to services Saturday. Burial will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
