driver not charged
A child ran into the street off a parkway near his home and was struck by a car and killed yesterday. The victim was Anthony Harold Cardon, 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney H. Cardon, 2101 Escarpa drive.
The driver, Robert David Lunger, 17, 2713 Fierro street, was not held at fault in the accident.

Infant’s Funeral Scheduled
Funeral services for Anthony Harold Cardon, 2, of 2101 Escarpa St, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Sumac Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Bishop Glen A. Beecroft will officiate with burial in Restlawn Cemetery.
Young Cardon was killed Friday in his east El Paso neighborhood after he ran into the path of an oncoming car, police reported. His death marked the city’s 28th traffic related fatality this year.
Survivors include: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Harold Cardon; one brother, Christophe Jay Cardon; three sisters, Jill Cardon, Gail Cardon, and Jennifer Cardon, all of El Paso; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Williams, of Provo, Utah and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harold Cardon, also of El Paso.

Anthony Harold Cardon, 2, 2101 Escarpa street passed away Friday. He was born in El Paso and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Harold Cardon, brother, Christopher Jay Cardon, sisters, Jill Cardon, Gail Cardon, Jennifer Cardon all of El Paso, grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Williams, Provo Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harold Cardon, El Paso. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Sumac Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1212 Sumac. Bishop Glen A Beecroft officiating.
