Services Set for Anna R. C. Shaw

Logan, Dec. 22-Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Rosina Cardon Shaw, 85 prominent Logan L.D.S. church worker, who died late Monday night in a Logan hospital following a lingering illness, will be conducted Thursday in Logan and Friday in Ogden.

Mrs. Shaw was born Feb. 14, 1858, in Marriott, daughter of John and Anna Furer Cardon. She was married to William Dudley Shaw on Dec. 29 1878, in Ogden. He died about 30 years ago.

Active since the age of 12 in church work, she had served as Relief society secretary, president of the Ogden Eighteenth ward Primary for 12 years, was in the M. I> A. presidency and served as an instructor in Sunday school and religion classes. Since 1908 she had worked in the Logan temple.

Surviving are four daughters and one son, Mrs. Rozina D. Sherner of Ogden, David J. Shaw of Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Mary S. Bjorkman of Logan, Mrs. Martha L. Taylor of Park City and Mrs. Lucy L. Clark of Tooele; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one sister, Anna H. Shaw of Ogden.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at two p. m. in the Logan fifth ward chael by Edgar B. Mitchell, bishop.

In Ogden, services will be conducted at one p. m. Friday in Lindquist & Sons’ Colonial chapel. Friends may call there Thursday from seven to nine p. m. and Friday from ten a. m. to time of services. Burial will be in Ogden city cemetery.
