Mrs. Anna H. Cardon Shaw, 86, of 559 Washington, active L. D. S. church worker, died Monday at three-twenty p. m. at the family home after a four day illness. She was born on January 23, 1861, a daughter of John and Anna Furrer Cardon, Utah pioneers of 1854. Her mother corssed the plains to Utah with a handcart company and her father drove a team of oxen to the state.
On September 25, 1879, she was married to Myrtillo Shaw of Ogden in the L. D. S. Salt Lake endowment house. He died here five years ago. The couple had seven children, five of whom survive.
She was active in the Relief society in the Lynne ward and the Fifteenth ward, where she served as a visiting teacher.
Survivors are the following sons and daughters: David M. Shaw, Bishop Austin H. Shaw, Mrs. Elbert F. Drumiler, Mrs. Earl E. Lee and Mrs. Louis W. Underwood, 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted Thursday at two p. m. at the motuary, twenty-fourth at Adams, by Bishop C. W. Wimmer of the Fifteenth ward. Burial will be in the Ogden City cemetery.
