Andrew Alec Harrower, Sr., 69, of Cokeville and Pinedale, Wyo., died Sunday March 24 1985 at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier, Idaho. He had suffered a series of strokes during the past month.

A memorial mass will be officiated by Farher Damian Dollahite of Pinedale at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Cokeville at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 28. Prior to cremation viewing will be at the Mathews Mortuary in Montpelier from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday.

Andrew was born Jan 22, 1916 in the mining town of Glencoe, Wyo. to Robert Miller and Mary Macleod Harrower of Scotland. He served with the Second Marine Division, United States Marine Corps during World War II. He participated in action on Guadacanal, British Solomon Islands and Saipan, Marianas Islands; and was awarded several medals.

Andrew was actively involved in real estate, ranching and the motel business.

On March 8, 1947 Andrew was married to Anna Guild in Evanston, Wyo. Their children are Andrew Alec Harrower Jr. and Patricia Ann Kirol of Pinedale. Grandchildren are Heather, Heidie and Hanon Harrower and Andrew V. Kirol.

Andrew’s sisters are Agnes McFarland of Pinedale, Mary Purdy of Cheyenne and Maragret Haddenham of Soda Springs, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ruth Marie and his four brothers, Morman, James, Thomas and Robert.
