Married to Walter Glen Bartlett Nov, 7, 1945, Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Attended Ogden city schools, Weber High School graduate, attended Stevens Henager College, Salt Lake City. Active LDS Church member. Thiokol Chemical Corp. employe, Survivors: husband; son, daughters, John Walter, Tamra, Sherrie, Teresa, Beverly, Bonnie, Lovina, infant daughter not yet named, all Cornish; parents, Ogden; brothers, sisters, Vee, Dan, David, Roger, all Ogden; Sonny, Mrs. Bonnie Aloha Beesley, both Blackfoot, Idaho. Alta S. Bartlett
CORNISH-Mrs. Alta Fern Stokes Bartlett, 38, Cornish, Cache County, died Monday at her home of a heart ailment.
Mrs. Bartlett was born June 20, 1923, in Ogden, a daughter of Lester Joseph and Lovina Wadsworth Stokes. She was married to Walter Glen Bartlett Nov. 7, 1945, in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in West Ogden until two years ago.
She attended Ogden City schools, graduated from Weber High School and attended Stevens Henager College in Salt Lake City.
She was an active member of the LDS Church. She was an employe of Thiokol Chemical Corp.
Surviving are her husband, one son and six daughters, John Walter, Tamra, Sherrie, Teresa, Beverly, Bonnie, Lovina, and an infant daughter, all of Cornish; her parents of Ogden, the following brothers and sisters: Vee, Dan, David and Roger Stokes, all of Ogden; Sonny Stokes, Mrs. Bonnie Aloha Beesley, both of Blackfoot, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Cornish Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the Cornish Ward Relief Society room Thursday after 11:30 a.m. Burial in Cornish Cemetery, directed by Kenneth Lindquist Mortuary in Logan.
