Services for Allen F. Byrne, 64, of Table Rock, were conducted Saturday, April 4, at the LDS Church on White Mountain Boulevard. Wamsutter Branch President Richard Horsley officiated.

Military graveside services and interment were at the Municipal Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colo., where Elder Pete Parkinson dedicated the grave.

Serving as pallbearers were Chuck Besso, Byron Zuehlsdorff, Eddie Hoff, Tom Graham, Clint Selby and Bill Fotheringham. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Harvey, Swede Zuehlsdorff, Earl, Harold and Jack Byrne, Arnold Greene, Elza Eversole, Sonny March, Hal Benedict and Bryon Whittaker.

Mr. Byrne was killed Wednesday, April 1, near the Table Rock rest area after being struck be a semi-tractor trailer rig.

A resident of Table Rock the past eight years and former resident of Grand Junction, Mr. Byrne was born in Piedmont, Wyoming on April 27, 1916, the son of the late Clarence Leslie and Alice Isabelle Johnson Byrne.

He attended schools in Mountain View and was a graduate of high school there with the class of 1934. Mr. Byrne served with the U.S. Army in World War II and married the former Ella May Robertson in Ogden, Utah on July 11, 1953.

Mr. Byrne was a retired Mountain Fuel employee having worked for them for 11 ½ years and was the present owner and operator of the Table Rock Service Station and the Burnwell Contractors. He was a member of the LDS Church and the American Legion in Evanston.

Survivors include his wife of Table Rock; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Alice) Metz of Farson, Mrs. Kent (Virginia) Cooper of Table Rock, and Mary Lou Byrne of Shoshoni; two sons, Glenn of Table Rock and Johnny of Shoshoni; two sisters, Cora Belle Davis of Mountain View and Ida Bullock of Sunnymead, Calif.; five grandsons, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Byrne was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Joseph.
