Alford Cardon Merrill, 62, 1619 Downington Ave. (1825 South), died Sunday at 5 p.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of natural causes. Born Feb. 20, 1899, Richmond, Cache County, to Marriner Wood and Mary Martha Cardon Merrill. Employed by Combined Metals Reduction Co. and W. F. Snyder and Sons. Veteran World War I. Married Lita Jafferies Eskelson, April 28, 1932, Salt Lake City. Survivors: widow; sons and daughter, Dr. Y. D. Eskelson, O. Richard Eskelson and Mary Jane Merrill Angell all of Salt Lake City; brothers, Dr. M. O. Merrill and T. C. Merrill, both of Preston, Idaho; Dr. K. W. Merrill, Salt Lake City; Dr. R. G. Merrill, Grass Valley, Calif. Funeral Wednesday. Larkin Morutary, Salt Lake City. Friends call Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday prior to services. Burial, Grantsville, Utah
