A. K. Farnsworth dies; priest of LDS Church

Mesa-Albert Kent Farnsworth, 83, a retired farmer and dairyman who came here in 1929 from Colonia Dublan, Mexico, died Sunday in Mesa General Hospital.

Mr. Farnsworth, of 213 W. Vine, was a high priest in the Third Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served on three stake missions for the church. He had been employed by Maricopa County and the City of Mesa, He was born in Mancos, Colo.

Survivors include his wife, Eva May; three sons, Albert J. of Phoenix and Archie V. and Pershing L., both of Mesa; two daughters, Mrs. Eva May Snow of Garden City, Calif., and Mrs. Alva Jean Rowley of Mesa; two brothers, Benjamin L. and Kenneth E, both of Salt Lake City; 45 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in the Third Ward Chapel, 230 W. 10th Ave. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Meldrum Mortuary, Macdonald at First Stsreet.
