Aaron Ray Jenkins, 29, died July 23, 2000, at his home in Anchorage after a long battle with brain cancer. A funeral was at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brayton Chapel, 13111 Brayton Drive, with Bishop Larry Anderson officiating. A viewing was held at the church prior to the service. A graveside service was at Wasilla Aurora Cemetery in Wasilla. Pallbearers were Laird Jenkins, Ben Jenkins, Wally Jenkins, Jared Noble, Steve Wright and Ken Curtis. 

Mr. Jenkins was born March 7, 1971, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He came to Alaska in 1979. He was employed as a computer technician for COMP USA. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also did missionary work from 1990-1992. He enjoyed his family and computers. His family wrote: ”Aaron was loved by everyone. He was the most honest and trustworthy person you could find.” The family described him as ”his wife’s best friend, a great husband, father, son and friend.” 

He is survived by his wife, Stacey Jenkins; sons, Jared and Samuel Jenkins; parents, Laird and Daphne Jenkins; brothers, Wally Jenkins and Benjamin Jenkins; sister; Susy Jenkins, all of Anchorage; and sister, Denise Jenkins of Utah. Flowers will be accepted and memorial contributions to the Jenkins family may be made to any branch of Alaska USA Federal Credit Union. Arrangements were by Anchorage Funeral Home.
