Brief Life History of Susette Sophia
Susette Sophia Cardon was born on 19 April 1863, in Ogden, Weber, Utah, United States. Her father, Jean Cardon, was 38 and her mother, Anna Regula Furrer, was 37. Shortly before her birth in March of 1863, her family moved from the Marriott Settlement to a new place just north of the Ogden City limits, near Bingham Fort, later called Lynne where her father built a log cabin (507 Washington Avenue). Her grave marker indicates that she died on 8 October 1863, presumably in her hometown. She would have been 5 months, 20 days, old at death, and was buried in the Ogden City Cemetery, Ogden, Weber, Utah, United States. Family records give her death date as the 5th of October while the Utah Division of State History; Salt Lake City, Utah; Utah Cemetery Inventory, 1847-2000 shows her death date is 10 May 1863, buried in grave A-2-25-5W of the Ogden City Cemetery.
