EVANSTON – Mrs. Sylvia Mary Walker Thomas, 54, of Evanston, died Monday at her home following a long illness.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 24, 1913, in Lyman, Wyo., a daughter of John C. and Mary Thurston Walker.

She was married to Archie V. Thomas on June 217, 1938, in Lyman, Wyo.

She was a member of the LDS Church, Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Castellja Club.

Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Madelyn) Evans, Pittsburg, Pa.; Miss Colleen Thomas, Vernal; Miss Karen Thomas, Evanston; two grandchildren, five brothers, and two sisters, Veron, Edward, Clyde and Ellis Walker and Mrs. Grant (Opal) Broadbent, all of Lyman, Wyo., Glenn Walker, Vernal; Mrs. Ora Haycock, Clearfield.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Woodruff Stake Chapel, Evanston.

Friends may call at the Gilbert Bills Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday prior to services. Burial in Lyman Cemetery.
