PRESTON – Dean W. Merrill, 56, died of a heart ailment Aug. 22 at his residence, 255 E. 2nd South, Preston. Born May 19, 1913, Richmond, Utah, to Theo and Anna Wettstein Merrill. Married Frances Ward, March 1*, 1938, Preston. Utah Power & Light Co. employe 35 years. Member LDS Church, Survivors: widow, Preston; sons, daughter, Earl Dean, Salt Lake City; Eugene, Phoenix; Mrs. Leon (Linda) Burbank, Jerome, Idaho; three grandchildren; mother, Preston; brothers, Cleve, San Pedro, Calif.; Wayne and DeMar, both of Preston. Funeral Monday 1 p.m., Franklin LDS Stake Center. Friends call Webb Mortuary, Sunday 6-9 p.m., Monday 11 a.m. until service. Burial, Whitney Cemetery, Preston.
