Born July 8, 1921, in Burley, Idaho to Horace Heber and Lizetta Ann Adams Carlos. Married Lucy Annette Cardon, September 18, 1943, in Redlands, California.

Graduated from Utah State University in 1943, where he attended on a basketball scholarship. Captain in U.S. Marine Corps. Served in World War II and Korean Conflict. Headed State of Utah Sesquicentennial Commission, 1946. Founder and president of Certified Warehouse, Freeport storage in-transit and transloading distribution facility to west coast. He was a real estate developer and responsible for the creation of extensive commercial and residential properties throughout Salt Lake Valley, Including Fashion Place Mall.

Survivors: wife; sons and daughter, Jean Craig (Annabella) Carlos of Foster City, California; Bartlie Heber Carlos of Carlsbad, California; Ann (Greg) Link of Alpine, Utah; sister, Hazel Mary Higgins of Pismo Beach, California; three grandchildren. Preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.

Funeral services Tuesday, Apri 30, 1996, 1:00 p.m., Monument Park 13th Ward Chapel, 1320 S Wasatch Dr. Friends may call at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 South, Monday 6-8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday, one hour prior to service. Interment; Larkin Sunset Gardens.
