Dies At 22

ARCO, July 8 – Gwen Lea Pearson, 22, died Tuesday in a Salt Lake City, Utah, hospital following a brief illness.
She was born March 10, 1944, at Logan, Utah, a daughter of Clint and Betty Cardon Cook. She attended elementary schools in Burley, Richland, Wash., Oakland, Calif., and Arco. She graduated in 1962 from Butte High School. She received a degree in nursing from Ricks College, and worked a year at Lost Rivers Hospital in Arco and at the Bannock Memorial Hospital in Pocatello, until ill health forced her to retire earlier this year.
She married Brent Pearson, Aug 14, 1964, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was active in church work and was serving as a teacher in the MIA of the Arco Ward.
Survivors include her husband, Brent; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Cook; a brother Val, and a sister, Juanita, all of Arco, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cardon, Burley, and Mrs. Leora Cook, Hayward, Calif.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Arco LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Howard Gibson officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call at the Marvel Memorial Chapel Friday and Saturday morning until time of services.
