Jeremy Todd Hall, 44, of Cedar Hills, UT followed his angel mother and was called back to paradise on December 4, 2021.

Jeremy, otherwise known as Hall, Jer, Boo, Jerome, Germy, Best Buddy, Bro, Uncle Boo, Friend, or simply Dad, was one of 7 children. He was welcomed into this world on April 21, 1977, by two loving parents, Bennie and Beverly Hall. All who know him love him, but none more than his wife Elizabeth (Liz) and 4 amazing children Colton (20), Logan (18), Isabell/ Izzie (12) & Kayden (6). Jeremy (known simply as Hall by many of his friends) and Liz made a home in Cedar Hills, Utah.

“Hall” was born in Yuma, Arizona. A short time later his family moved to Utah. As a toddler he was exposed to BYU basketball and grew to become the world’s greatest BYU fan. After years of struggle and much prayer, Hall’s hope, love, and faith paid off when BYU football finally beat U of U after 9 years of disappointment and defeat.

Hall attended American Fork High School where he made several lifelong friendships, many who share his love of basketball and who he would bend over backwards for. After high school Jeremy met and dated his future eternal companion, Liz Tafoya. In October of 1996 he was called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the California Roseville Mission.

After serving an incredible mission, Hall returned home where he was lucky enough to resume his relationship with Liz, his wonderful wife. Hall invited the girl of his dreams to Hawaii on a family vacation and in a Jer-like fashion, in a grass skirt, and with the help of the locals at the Polynesian Cultural Center he proposed to Liz and received an answer in the affirmative. Jer and Liz were married in the Salt Lake Temple in March of 1999 and started their wonderful family.

Hall has a quick wit and an inquisitive mind with a great ability to figure things out which he turned into useful technical skills. Working in IT his entire professional life, he supported his family and made friends everywhere he went. Although he worked only a few years in Colorado his impact there is still talked about to this day. He has a great love of family and friends. If he saw a need, he was there. He soon became the “go to guy” for all who knew him. If you had a question, whether it was cars, computers/software, construction, or yard work he would not only have the answer; but be by your side helping you get it done. During his career he worked side by side with his Pop, each one of his brothers, his sons, as well as many nephews and friends. In all environments, especially the difficult ones, Jeremy had a gift of putting people at ease and often made sticky situations pleasant and enjoyable with a well-placed, mostly appropriate joke, displaying his wit and charisma.

Hall loved all sports and chief among them was basketball. Many who played with him were surprised at his speed, skill, and accuracy. Although all who played with him would acknowledge his great abilities at the game, he was well known for this kind manner, capacity to put people at ease, and turn a teammate into a friend. Hall’s last day in this mortal sphere was spent mixing two of his great loves, family and basketball. If there is basketball in heaven, Hall is already a team favorite, and if not, he’s already organizing the first league.

Hall is the definition of a quiet doer. Being a perfect mixture of both his mom and dad, his life was full of service, but with no need or desire for praise or even thanks. Any attempt at gratitude for his kind acts was downplayed with a quick and deflective joke. Jeremy’s life is simply the Gospel of Jesus Christ in action, with no hype or fanfare, just getting things done. If humility could be measured, he would be the standard.

Jeremy was the first to point out his own flaws, but he never seemed to find them in others. He was and is the real deal, the epitome of genuine, the first one to show up to help someone in need, and the last one to leave. Those who were privileged to be a part of his life know what a true follower of Christ looks like. Jeremy will be sorely missed, but we know as surely as he never stopped serving people here, he is alive and will never stop serving there. Joined with his angel mother, we take comfort in knowing the force of guardian angels on our side is now stronger than ever. We love you Boo!!

Jeremy is proceeded in death by his mother Beverly L. Hall.

He is survived by: His beautiful wife Liz, his amazing children Colton, Logan, Izzie, and Kayden; his Pop Bennie R. Hall, and his siblings: Reed (Allyson) Hall, Tom (Kristy) Hall, Christie (Darren) Pratt, Travis (Allison) Hall, Kim (Daniel) Jackson, John (Laura) Hall and a plethora of nieces and nephews who idolize him.

We invite all to join with us in celebrating his service-filled and inspiring life.
